Name: Jillian Mae Martin (she/her/hers)

Jillian Mae is currently a Clinical Psychology Psy.D. student at Loma Linda University's School of Behavioral Health. She was born and raised in Southern California, attended UC Berkeley, and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology. She is most interested in researching children and adolescent mental health, both risk and protective factors, and how social and familial factors play a role in the individuality of each person. Ultimately, she wants to assist in helping adolescents grow up into promising futures.

In her free time, Jillian enjoys dancing, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

Clinical Interests:  

  • Providing evidence-based treatments to youth diagnosed with various mental disorders
  • Observing how mental disorders develop over time from childhood to emerging adulthood periods of the lifespan
  • Enhancing trauma-informed care for families by incorporating psychoeducation of common mental health disorders found among youth

Research Interests:  

  • Treating mental disorders with high comorbidities
  • Sleep habits and emotional dysregulation
  • Individual support systems in relation to treatment
