Earaj Afzal, PsyD

Earaj graduated Loma Linda University with a PsyD in clinical psychology with a concentration in pediatric psychology. Her interests include working with children and adolescents with co-occurring mental health and chronic medical illnesses. More specifically she wishes to create a strong foundation for one’s mental health earlier on in life in order to positively affect one’s physical health, resulting in a higher quality of life. Her ultimate career goal as a Pediatric Psychologist is to be able to work in a setting where mental health and physical health are intertwined in everyday practice. Her doctoral project looked at the relationship between sleep, anxiety, and gratitude in young children and hopes that the results will inform novel treatment for children with co-morbid sleep and anxiety problems.
