Albert earned his B.A. in Psychology at the University of California, Riverside and his M.A. in Psychology at LLU.

Research Interest & Training: His research focuses on health disparities as they pertain to various patient health experiences and their implications on physical, mental, and cognitive health.

  • As a PHBL lab alumnus he was involved in recruiting families for various lab studies and participated in research projects investigating individual and environmental factors related to child and caregiver sleep outcomes in clinical populations.

Dissertation Title : Cultural beliefs about diabetes and distress as determinants of treatment adherence

  • His dissertation examined the impact of stigma-related cultural beliefs on psychological, behavioral, and biological outcomes among patients with Type 2 diabetes.
